Cross addiction from one substance to another is a reality of the disease and therefore, abstinence from all mind and mood altering substances is a required aspect of recovery. Chemical Dependency is a family disease affecting everyone in the family system. To be most effective, treatment must be extended to all family members concurrently so that the family recovers together.

The therapeutic process at the Hemet Valley Recovery Center & Sage Retreat occurs within a holistic, cognitively-oriented framework. It is facilitated through educational, task oriented and process groups. Introduction to the twelve step program and philosophy is a component of treatment.

The mission of Soba is to provide a safe, transitional, sober environment aiding in establishing a strong foundation in recovery. Soba Living is home to those men and women who already have a basic foundation around their sobriety yet feel they need additional support. Every woman who is a part of the residential community of Lund Family Center faces a daunting array of challenging life circumstances. We employ a feminist approach to services provided on-site, staying mindful that our clients are also parents, with responsibility not only for their own self-care, but for the continuous needs of their children as well. Often they are parenting alone and have the added responsibility of work and/or school. They may be involved in complex relationship and family dynamics, and so whenever possible, we try to involve the partners, families and significant others in the work as well.

Independence Place is a Lund Family Center program that offers transitional housing in six individual studio apartments for single women, ages 16 to 21, who are pregnant or parenting a child under five. The program is a partnership with Burlington Housing Authority.

Subject to availability, Independence Place apartments are available to any qualifying young woman, whether or not she has participated in other Lund Family Center programs. To participate in Independence Place, young women must be working, pursuing their education, or enrolled in a job training program. Young women must commit to a year lease and may reside at Independence Place for up to two years.

In addition to housing, participants benefit from round the clock staff support and access to other Lund family support services including childcare, New Horizons Education Program and GED preparation, case management, life skills education, substance abuse recovery, and transportation assistance.

Through participation in the Independence Place program, residents greatly increase their independent living skills, their parenting skills, and ability to live in community. Residents have regular house meetings, share communal chores, come together for community dinners, and participate.

Malibu Recovery Center provides innovative, quality, cost-effective treatment for individuals suffering from alcohol and drug addiction. We assist our clients to build a strong foundation in recovery.

Malibu Recovery Center provides a specialized and person-specific approach to treat addiction. We work with individuals in all different stages of their recovery. Malibu Recovery Center provides support through detox, residential treatment, and through structured sober living, sober living and outpatient. Malibu Recovery Center is able to enroll clients whether they are coming from a treatment center and would like to participate in sober living, or they are clean and would like to kick off with structured sober living to learn practical tools to have a successful sober lifestyle. If they are living at a different sober living but would like to participate in outpatient or day treatment programs in order to keep active in their recovery, we are able to provide outpatient and day treatment services as they come and go from their selected sober living facilities.
